Help… Pijn in gewrichten

Pijn in de gewrichten is chronisch wanneer dit langer dan drie maanden aanhoudt. Aanhoudende pijnklachten hebben een grote invloed op kwaliteit van leven. Het kan immers voor veel frustratie zorgen.

Overbelasting, herhalende bewegingen, ontsteking

Gewrichtsklachten ontstaan in veel gevallen door langdurige overbelasting of slijtage, herhalende bewegingen en door ontsteking.

Langdurige overbelasting: Er zijn meerdere factoren die invloed hebben op het krijgen van artrose (gewrichtsslijtage).

Door overgewicht, worden de gewrichten extra belast en kunnen daardoor beschadigd raken, door zwaar lichamelijk werk, vaak zwaar tillen, worden de gewrichten extra belast. Ook intensief sporten belast de gewrichten sterk.

Artrose kan verder ontstaan door een vroeger opgelopen blessure of beschadiging in of rond een gewricht, een botbreuk, een beschadigde meniscus, zwakke gewrichtsbanden, of door een gewrichtsontsteking.

Want hoewel artrose meestal alleen geassocieerd wordt met gewrichtsslijtage en kraakbeenslijtage, is er bij dit ziektebeeld zeker ook sprake van een ontsteking, die een direct gevolg is van de ontstane schade [1]. De kraakbeenslijtage, en uiteindelijk het bot-op-bot contact door de afwezigheid van kraakbeen, leidt samen met de lokale ontsteking tot de kenmerkende pijnklachten, de zwelling en de stijfheid.

Herhalende bewegingen: Door herhalende bewegingen, bijvoorbeeld met een computermuis of elke dag veel typen, kunnen RSI-achtige gewrichtsklachten ontstaan. RSI is een verzamelnaam voor spier- en gewrichtsklachten aan handen, polsen, armen, schouders en/of nek. Normale handelingen, zoals licht schoonmaakwerk, haren kammen, je tas optillen, etc., veroorzaken pijnklachten (brandende pijn en/of een tintelend gevoel in de gewrichten en/of de spieren in de polsen, handen, armen, schouders en/of nek).

Ontsteking: Is een gewricht stijf, pijnlijk, gezwollen en rood? Dan is er een gewrichtsontsteking. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn, een bacteriële gewrichtsontsteking, een reactieve gewrichtsontsteking (als gevolg van infectie elders in het lichaam) of ontstekingen als gevolg jicht, artrose, reumatoïde artritis (vormen van reuma). Het is niet altijd meteen duidelijk wat de oorzaak is van de klachten. In veel gevallen komt het voor dat de oorzaak van de gewrichtsklachten onbekend blijft.

Meerdere studies hebben de gunstige effecten van collagen aminozuren bevestigd ter zake behoud van gezonde gewrichten en het verminderen van pijn [2], terwijl uit diverse studies is gebleken dat consumptie van uitgekiende aminozuurverbindingen er voor zal zorgen dat ons lichaam volop wordt voorzien van bouwstenen die weefsels vernieuwen, zoals bot, kraakbeen en gewrichten [3]. Pijn… aminozuren blijken effectief

Er is ruimschoots en overtuigend wetenschappelijk bewijs wat aminozuren kunnen betekenen bij pijn door langdurige overbelasting of slijtage, herhalende bewegingen en ontsteking :

Een aantal recente studies [4] toont aan dat de behandeling van artrose en reumatoïde artritis met aminozuren zeer effectief blijkt te zijn, die het bindweefsel ondersteunen en gezonde gewrichten bevorderen.

In vivo onderzoek uitgevoerd aan de universiteit van Rochester Medical Center (USA), bevestigt de unieke voordelen van aminozuren in ondersteuning van gezonde gewrichten door regeneratie van kraakbeen en zijn belangrijke anti-inflammatoire (ontstekingsremmende) werking [5].

In klinische studies is bevestigd dat een dagelijkse inname van ca. 8g collagen aminozuurverbinding een positief effect had op gewrichtspijn reductie en de gewrichtsfunctionaliteit verbeterde [6], terwijl in meerdere studies is bevestigd dat de combinatie van specifieke aminozuren, degeneratie van het gewricht helpt te voorkomen en pijn helpt te verminderen [7].
